Amazon Prime Day

Amazon launched Prime Day in 2015 with hopes that a one-day shopping event would boost sales during the slow summer months. Well, the retailer achieved that and much more. Prime Day surpassed Black Friday 2014 sales, becoming Amazon's biggest day ever. About 398 products sold every second! Prime Day 2016 broke records again, and it's likely 2017 will do the same.

You'll find flash deals and sweeping discounts on almost every product category. Prime Day offers savings on the latest Amazon devices, apparel for the whole family, laptops, tablets, headphones, baby essentials, makeup, skincare, and the list goes on!

More Shopping Opportunities

Borderlinx offers package forwarding addresses in the U.S., U.K., Hong Kong and Germany, which means as an international shopper, you can take advantage of Amazon Prime Day from any of those countries.

Amazon Prime Day Tips

Don't sign in to Amazon on Prime Day without planning ahead. You don't want that headache. Here are a few things to know before you deep dive into pages of deals.

  1. You have to be a Prime member. For you commitment phobes out there, sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime if you're not already a member. Shop every deal on July 11 and breathe easy knowing you can cancel later.
  2. Deals start early this year. Set your alarm because Prime Day goes live at 9 p.m. ET on July 10. Can't wait until then? On July 5, Amazon will launch Prime Day teaser offers daily.
  3. Move fast. Good deals don't stick around too long on Prime Day. Lighting Deals end after a few hours and Spotlight Deals last until the item is out of stock.
  4. Download the Amazon app. It's easier to keep track of timed deals. Pick your favorites to be alerted when they go live.
  5. Extra discounts are out there. Last year, Prime members scored exclusive savings by ordering with their Alexa-enabled devices. Look out for more ways to save this year!
  6. Shop other retailers. We know this sounds weird, but hear us out. Retailers love to compete with one another and Prime Day is no different. In 2016, Walmart, Newegg, Toys R Us, GAP and many more offered sales on Prime Day to lure shoppers. It's more work for you, but it could end up saving you money.
